Designing events that promote social awareness and involvement
Central Mississippi, Inc. participated in various community outreach activities, including a Community Transportation Day, Conflict Resolution Workshop, Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, Donuts and Coffee with the Community, and a Christmas Parade. The activities are within the seven-county service area and include the community (clients, elected public officials, and community advocates).

CPR Training for Drivers
Last month, CMI took a powers step toward community safety by hosting a CPR training session for our drivers. The hands-on session provided essential lifesaving skills that could make the difference in an emergency! CMI was honored to be invited by the Mississippi Department of Child Protective Services to set up a booth and speak with foster parents about how we can support their families. On May 27, 2025, the CMI team was honored to participate in the North Central Planning and Development District’s Over 60 Celebration held at the Andrew McQueen Jr. Civic Center in Greenwood, MS. We joined an inspiring community of seniors, partners, and local leaders in celebrating the accomplishments, stories, and vibrant spirit of our region’s elders. CMI had an amazing time celebrating SEE Us Shine Day on May 31st at Whittington Park. This special event, held in partnership with the New Stone Street Baseball and Softball League, brought families, youth, and community leaders together for a day of fun, empowerment, and connection. From exciting games to community resources and uplifting conversations, the day was all about highlighting the potential in our young people and reminding them to keep shining-on and off the field! At the 48th Annual Mississippi Public Transit Association (MPTA) Conference, Dr. Pamela Gary received the distinguished Humanitarian Award for her remarkable dedication to providing clean running water to the Schlater area and improving lives in the community.
